Romantic and whimsical, Boudoir 90 invites you into an imagined nineteenth-century interior, filled with the furniture, objects and decorative details of a more indulgent age.
At the centre of the design stands a theatrical lit à la Polonaise, surrounded by an Empire daybed, Grecian harp, upholstered chairs, antique scent bottles, books and dressing-table treasures. Together they conjure the intimate world of the boudoir: part private retreat, part stage for beautiful objects.
Drawn from Rory Hutton’s fascination with historic interiors and the decorative arts, each element was originally created as a hand-carved linocut before being brought together in the finished composition and translated onto silk in Italy.
Rendered in soft pink and ivory and framed by a geometric border, Boudoir 90 combines the romance of the past with the bold graphic quality of linocut printmaking.
