ARTVERSE: Poetry in Silk

Created for ARTVERSE, Rory Hutton and Dan Llewelyn Hall’s 2026 exhibition exploring the relationship between poetry and visual art, this collection of silk scarves transforms some of the best-loved works of English poetry into wearable works of art.

Inspired by Edmund Spenser’s The Faerie Queene, John Keats’s Ode on a Grecian Urn and Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s The Blessed Damozel, each design began with Rory’s original drawings and hand-carved linocuts before being translated into silk.

Printed in Italy on fine silk twill and finished with rolled edges, the collection brings together poetry, printmaking and design.
