Inspired by the great female gardeners and tastemakers of the twentieth century, Orangery Garden celebrates the romance and ritual of the English garden.
At the centre of the design stands a grand orangery, surrounded by the tools and details of a life spent in the garden. The scarf was inspired by figures including Bunny Mellon, Vita Sackville-West and Lady Rhoda Birley, women for whom gardening and personal style went wonderfully hand in hand.
Originally created as part of my Garden Collection, the design began as a series of hand-carved linocuts before being translated onto silk and made in Italy.
