The Calendar 90 celebrates a year in the English garden, with twelve botanical linocuts representing the changing flowers of the seasons.
Each month is framed in the manner of a botanical print, from delicate snowdrops in January to roses in June, while a profusion of flowers and foliage forms an intricate border around the design, finished with a delicate string of pearls.
“My love of eighteenth-century botanical prints inspired this scarf, paying tribute to the magnificent horticultural libraries of the period. I make a point of carrying a sketchbook with me wherever I go, and the decorative frames featured in The Calendar were inspired by sketches I made during visits to galleries and historic houses in Tuscany.”

Each element began as an original hand-carved linocut before being brought together in the finished design and translated onto silk in Italy.
