Inspired by the abundant flower borders of Edwardian gardens, Floral Tapestry brings together some of my favourite traditional garden flowers in a richly patterned silk scarf.
Peonies, geraniums, chrysanthemums and old English roses are arranged across a deep navy ground, creating the effect of a densely woven floral tapestry. Jewel-like shades of pink, red, yellow and white emerge among the green foliage, celebrating the glorious mixture of colour and form found in a garden at the height of summer.
Each flower began as an original hand-carved linocut before being brought together to create the finished pattern and translated onto silk in Italy.
