‘Still, no gardener would be a gardener if he did not live in hope’
‘Flowers really do intoxicate me’
These two quotes from Vita Sackville-West were the starting point for this intricate design.
Inspired by Vita’s White Garden at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent. The garden was begun in the 1930’s and is now one of the most iconic modern gardens in Britain. As this scarf demonstrates a white garden is as much a study of green as it is of white.
Formal parterres and knot gardens dominate the center of this design surrounded by an array of white flowers in bloom.
